December 2009

December was a busy month for us. We had so many things to do to get ready for Christmas. As the boys get older they enjoy the holidays more, and are so excited. Austin was the cow in his Christmas program. He sang the songs and waved at us while on the stage. Coy also had a program and was a reindeer. He too sang every song and waved.

Christmas day was a little different for us. Jon has worked almost every Christmas, but this year he had it off and I had to work. This is the first Christmas I’ve worked since I was 17. I only had to be at work for 4 hours and got home as fast as I could. Jon and the boys waited for me and we started our day as soon as I got home. The boys got a video game system and a few games, GI Joe, movies and more. Jon got ski stuff; he is decked out from head to toe with everything from the beanie to the skis. He is so excited to get on the slopes. As for me, I got a new car. I will be saying goodbye to my mustang and hello to my new GTO.

My Mom got us tickets to the polar express. It’s a train ride in Williams that takes you to the North Pole. The boys loved the cookies and hot coco they got. They were pumped when Santa walk through the train. They each got a bell from Santa. As soon as we got home they hung the bells on our Christmas tree. We had a great time, just wish we could have stayed the night with the rest of my family in Flagstaff. But I had to work the next morning.

Jon’s birthday was the 31; he had to work that evening, so we celebrated before he left for work. Once Jon was gone, the boys and I started celebrating the New Year. I asked them what they wanted to do and they wanted to bowl on the wii. I told them, they could stay up late, but by 9:30, I couldn’t keep my eyes open. So we counted down the New Year at 9:30 and I sent them to bed. It’s a good thing that neither of them can tell time.

November 2009

November came and went so fast. We said goodbye to another season of soccer. Coy and Austin enjoyed it and we're sad to see it end; although it is nice to have our Saturday’s back.

We also went camping one last time before winter. We met Jon’s parents in Benson for Kartchner Caverns 10 year anniversary. It was fun to take a tour of the cave with the boys. I was nervous that they would touch things, but they both did well and didn’t get bored.

For Thanksgiving, my Dad, Sister Bethany and her family came to visit. It was fun to be together for the holiday. We ate lots of food and went shopping for black Friday. We went to Prescott to shop, so we had to be up by 3:00am. Glad it’s only once a year, because that was way too early for me.
